Platforms

Rockstar lists two platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no announced version for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch 2. Grand Theft Auto V reached PC around eighteen months after its console release, so a later PC version is widely expected, but nothing has been announced.

Single player

Rockstar has stated plainly that grand theft auto vi is a single player experience. There is no online mode announced for launch, so there is no GTA Online successor to expect on day one.

Prices marked Reported come from retailer listings rather than from Rockstar, so treat them as indicative and check your platform store.

Pre-load

Digital pre-orders can begin pre-loading on 12 November, a week ahead of launch. The physical release also goes on sale on 12 November, containing a download code in the box so that disc buyers can pre-load too — worth knowing if you were assuming the disc arrives on launch day.

An Extended Look — 27 August

The next official showing is Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, premiering on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday 27 August, then arriving on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI site at 9 p.m. ET the same day. See trailers for everything released so far.
